Jill’s study of design began with her degree in Multi-disciplinary design. As well as achieving knowledge in two-dimensional forms such as drawing and graphic design she also studied three-dimensional disciplines like silver-smithing, ceramics and – her subject of choice – glass. After college she went on to gain extensive knowledge in glassblowing, culminating in her small studio glass business which produced one-off pieces for a discerning market.
She also gained a PGCE teaching qualification and began tutoring students on art and design courses.
After taking a five-year break to have a family, Jill returned to college and studied Interior Design to professional level, achieving an Advanced City & Guilds qualification.
Since then she has pursued a career in Interior Design where she teaches the subject at various institutions ,as well as privately, and offers a personal design consultancy service.

Her personal motto – inform, instruct, inspire – is how she approaches and delivers each new project.
